Most of the machines have programs that will convert a number of foreign format to "native". This does not help much in swapping them back, however. Computer Shopper ran a recent feature on this exact topic. (December 87 or some issue close to that). ----------------- As far as personal experience, the only single, general** picture format I have seen supported on all the machines above is IFF picture files (ILBM). This format was born with the Amiga computer, and is good enough to have traveled to other machines. ** By general I mean several things: 1> Must handle color (of *at least* 8 bits per pixel, if the source image is that deep). 2> Must handle arbitrary sized bitmaps.
