I used to have a copy but didn't take it with me when changing job as the new company doesn't have a VAX. The source code of ARC can be found at IBM land. Some BBS (perhaps CompuServe ) have it posted. Also DEC user group may have an authentic version of ARC in C (I crossed over some old messages at CIS a few months ago). IEEE Computer's June 1984 issue has an article about the major compression scheme ARC used, check page 8-19. Jinfu Chen
