First: An apology to everyone on comp.sys.att. My summary of the AT&T-only solution to my problem should only have been posted to att.sys.unixpc. Second: I was not "gloating." When you obtain the solution to a problem that others are likely to be interested in it is only polite to summarize the results so that they don't have to go through the trouble you did. Again, I should have restricted the posting to AT&T. Third: I can't send HDB to you "peons" (not my word) for the same reason I can't give you free telephones -- it's not mine to give away. I agree that if AT&T doesn't want to give HDB away for free through the STORE! they should at least sell it, since there's obviously a demand for the thing. I'm not the one who makes those decisions, however. Fourth: I won't post any more flames about HDB to comp.sys.att if you don't. Bob Wilber wilber@research.att.com Disclaimer: Obviously these aren't AT&T's official opinions, 'cause if they were, you'd be able to buy HDB.
