As far as I know, it is NOT HP-supported. Some stuff, however, does come with glowing recommendations from HP. Some of the programs are real third-party products, and come with all the bells and whistles. For a copy of INTERACT (the HP3000 users group magazine), contact: INTEREX, 680 Almanor Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94088-3439. For the specific request you had for C compilers, assemblers,...: The C compiler can be had from: Corporate Computer Systems, 33 W. Main St., Holmdel, NJ 07733-3302. They also provide some Unix-like tools like Make, Grep, and a source-code control system. The only "assembler" on the hp3000, as far as I know, is the SPL compiler (which has a fancy "assemble" statement). In general, avoid doing anything in assembly on the 3000. If you *really* need to use the machine instructions, or manipulate the stack (the 3000 has a stack architecture, if you didn't already know), use SPL. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shankar Unni Unix Mail: shankar@hpclscu , shankar%hpclscu@hpda HPMAIL: SHANKAR UNNI/HPUNIX/UX Telnet: 1-447-5797 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
