Message-ID: <373@octopus.UUCP> Date: 23 Dec 87 07:02:17 GMT Reply-To: pete@octopus.UUCP (Pete Holzmann) Organization: Octopus Enterprises, Cupertino, CA Lines: 18 I thought I saw something about going from prot mode to real mode a while back, but can't find it in my saved tidbits. I realize that it involves resetting the CPU if you have a '286, but I think there's some kind of magic involved that gets you back where you want to be. Does anybody have this? I want to play with protected mode using the Int 15H function that switches to protected mode (listed in the recently posted interrupts list). If I can get some code to work that reliably switches in and out of prot mode, I'll post it. Hopefully in Turbo C. By the way- just received TC version 1.5 here. Looks like bugs are fixed, lots of functions added, basic compiler not touched yet. Debugger promised Q1 1988 though. -- OOO __| ___ Peter Holzmann, Octopus Enterprises OOOOOOO___/ _______ USPS: 19611 La Mar Court, Cupertino, CA 95014 OOOOO \___/ UUCP: {hpda, pyramid}!octopus!pete ___| \_____ Phone: 408/996-7746
