Lines: 29 Keywords: This program is for BASICA or GWBASIC I have experience purchasing and using IBM-PC's and AT's but I was 1) Using them for data collection 2) Buying them with company money :) Now I have need for a PC and an AT (since I am paying for it myself money becomes important - I'll take clones). I have not kept up on what's available (about a year out of date) so any advice would be helpful. Ie what printers are appropriate- appropriate software etc. I need a 1) A PC to do wordprocessing, period. I have never done this type of work and this is not for me anyway - what is a good, easy to use for a novice word processing program? 2) An AT primarily for scientific/numerical programming. This is for me. I'll get MASM, Microsoft C, PCwrite(uemacs?) but what is a good Fortran. Last time I looked there weren't any. Do I need fortran to do this type of work (see above) Can I get by with C? How about math libraries - any good ones?
