Subject: Problem with recent NETHACK posting

I downloaded the recent posting of NETHACK in comp.binaries.ibm.pc
and find that every time I try to run it all I get is

    OOPS
    Terminal must backspace.

I'm using the NANSI driver and setting TERM=nansi-color.  Any
clues?
