Why use the installer rather than just copying in a new set of System/Finder/etc. files on a new disk? I don't have a hard disk, all I have is a lonely Mac512k (yes, that's right, the OLD ROMs). When I want to put a system on a new disk, I just copy the system folder from an existing system. Am I doing anything wrong???? -lee -------------- Lee Atchison Hewlett Packard, Information Networks Division atchison%hpindda@hplabs.hp.com
