Each packet contains ~50 bytes of data, which transfers fine at 1200 baud. Unfortunately, it takes over a second for my response to get back to BIX via TYMNET. Then BIX has to send the next packet. The outcome of all this is that I'm getting a transfer rate on the order of 30 bytes/second!!! What I'd like to know is whether anybody knows of a decent shareware/freeware program that supports Y or Z modem which (I believe) has longer packets, making the delays tolerable. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Ted Inoue
