A while back, I asked advice from the net regarding whether I should buy a Mac II or a Mac SE. I got an amazing deluge of replies from supporters of both machines; I was so confuses that I decided to "sit it out" for a while to see if any developments would influence my opinion. Well, needless to say, I'm still stuck in the ruts. So here I am again, asking the CURRENT pros and cons of either machine; SOME things have changed, haven't they? My concerns are: 1) that the Mac II, a new machine, won't turn out to be another "Apple ///" or "Lisa." 2) Is compatibility gap between older Macs and the II lessening? Are companies offering upgrades? How about games -- are there more Mac games that wor with the II now? Money isn't the real problem here for me. I just want to purchase a computer that will last and evolve with my needs. I've survived with an Apple //e for a long time, so I'm sure EITHER computer will keep me occupied for a while. The things is: that color and speed of the II is SO tantalizing; the core o my dilemma thus revolves around the two aforementioned concerns. I would greatly appreciate any and all advice!
