I have tried saving the picture and then renaming it StartUpScreen in my system folder, but all I get when I start up is a box of black & white graphics/mess. Also, I would appreciate some info on how to convert graphic pictures (especially color ones) so that I can use then as a desk background. I have DeskPict and it works great, but the only background picture I can get is the one that comes up in the DeskPict init screen. It seems to need a picture with a PICT resource, and all the pictures that I am able to access only have a data fork with no resource fork. I have LOTS of experience with computer systems, but I am just starting to work with some of the MAC II resource stuff (That explains the ignorance!). Any hints anybody could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rick Klaus
