Message-ID: <13136@comp.vuw.ac.nz> Date: 14 Dec 87 05:55:19 GMT Organization: Comp Sci, Victoria Univ., Wellington, New Zealand Lines: 18 Keywords: LAN, LINKING APPLETALK NETWORK TO ETHERNET NETWORK. We would like to hear from anyone out there that have used 3-COM's network hardware and software. We are planning to build two networks: an appletalk network and an ethernet network using ethernet cards installed in ibm pc compatables. We wish to find out if 3-COM's software and hardware will adequately link these two networks together so that file exchange, mail distribution accross both networks , and printer sharing accross both networks is implemented. If you have attained these goals with 3-COM, we would like to hear about it. eg the necessary software and hardware; did it work well; bugs etc. reply on comp.dcom.lans, or send mail to moses@RS1.VUW.AC.NZ (P Moseley , Victoria University, Wellington New Zealand).
