In all the time I've handled it, I've never rejected a message, so clearly the submitters are doing their own quality control; and the delays/problems in sending mail through here have driven some people batty. What I'd like to do is to set up the newsgroup as an unmoderated Usenet newsgroup with a bidirectional mail gateway so that folks without access to Usenet can join in the discussion. This mail gateway would probably be on the west coast at a well-connected machine--not here, in the backwaters of the network. Unless strong objections are voiced, I guess this is the way I'll proceed; if you are not on Usenet and would like to receive the group via mail drop me a line and I'll add your name to the gateway list. Please--if you do receive the group via news, don't sign up for this; the person handling the gatewaying is doing us all a favor, and I don't want to explore the limits of their generosity. Comments on all of this are very welcome. Thanks, Rich
