My first question is about hooking the Iris up to a laserwriter that already hooked to an Appletalk network. SGI says that it works fine and that all I need is a smart switch which I thought would switch between either Appletalk or the Iris, but on the back of my laserwriter is a switch that selects either Appletalk or serial with some baud rate so I'm not too sure even a smart switch will help that problem. I'm also wondering what I'll get for the ~2K or so for the software from SGI. I know that the output will be in black and white and thats fine for graphs and text but can I print grayscale images with any degree of defination? Thanks, Lloyd La Comb lacomb@sierra.stanford.edu -------
