Message-ID: <150@telesoft.UUCP> Date: 5 Jan 88 05:16:51 GMT Organization: TeleSoft Inc., San Diego, CA Lines: 17 Keywords: text graphics PC vi Are there many editors which allow both text and graphics manipulation? I'm particularly curious about reasonable text editing features (e.g. vi) and graphics kept as structures (got to be a better way to say that - rectangles, circles can be moved, resized, deleted), ideally with text and graphics overlapping. I don't consider MACPAINT/DRAW to qualify - not enough structure to the text manipulation. TROFF/PIC doesn't qualify - too formal for interactive use (graphics should be drawn, not programmed). I've both an academic interest in this (although not enough to dig thru the journals this week) and a practical interest (I'd like to use a portable PC as a general scratchpad). Anything interesting out there? -David sdcsvax!telesoft!dar, dar@sdcsvax.(arpa,uucp,edu,com)
