While it does not presently format floppies when not already formatted, it could be easily made to do that (either by us as an enhancement, or by you -- will deliver enough source to allow customization of the menu system)... But, you want recommendations for a "cartridge tape" backup system... what does formatting have to do with cartridge tapes? Also, what do you mean not abort when a bad verify is found?
