Keeping an eye on the freespace on the disk. We don't do automatic backups or expire of news - since we're a limited group who reads the news and some of us do not have the time to read it regularly enough to avoid a fixed deadline for expire. When expiring news we usually make a backup of all news arrived since last backup and then expire all groups - unless someone objects to this (as I said the numbers of netreaders are limited so we can afford to make personal favors in this area). >How full do you let it get? Well, usually we let the freespace drop to 10 - 15 Mb before starting expire. Regards Kim Chr. Madsen.
