in case anyone out there is interested; thanks to steve simmons help. i have
found a way to increase the floppy disk size that it will format to. in /usr/binthere is a file called fdfmt.nl. it is a sccs file. by calling it. it will format the floppy. by changing the line that has this at the end FDnl to FD10nl. it will format a floppy to 395k. if anyone out there has any other tricks of the trade please let me know.
