His argument being that they were paying for there stupidity. Well Clayton (or may I call you knucklehead?) you have an interesting point. One problem with your argument is that most people who have the disease now first got it 7 years ago, when nobody knew anything about it. For example, if you were to die 10 years down the road shortly after they discovered nose picking leads to death, it would be unfair of someone to say you were stupid (unless of course they had read the artical you posted). The other problem with your argument is that death is obviously too extreme of a punishment for stupidity (I would think that you'd be thankful about that).
