I did.  Found me-self a quiet little room, looked off into space, and
asked "So, what about homosexuals".  Heard a little voice in my head
saying "Oh, don't worry about them.  By and large they're no worse and
no better than you or me.  Besides, I'm a LOT more worried about those
people who are spreading pain and hatred in My name than about a few
folk who get their jollies in unusual ways.  Leave 'em be."

Well, says I, I have as much proof that that little voice was the word
of God as I do that the Bible is the word of God.  Not only that, but
at least the little voice didn't talk in damned riddles all the time!
As I sat there thinking, the voice came back... "Oh, by the way, Jim,
got a little time tonight?  I'd like to start dictating a book to you.
I'll call it `The Bible: Revised Edition'.  You see, you humans have
changed so fast since I finished the last edition that much of it is
obsolete by now.  I've been meaning to get to this project for a while,
but those nuke blasts in the '50s made so damn many sparrows fall over
that I've been busy tallying them up ever since..."
