  We run 8K assoc. data segments through vaxen/uVaxen on A400s, no prob.
  Typical NSC default diags on the PI-1x interface for HITtest uses the
  4K size.  Ask the engr. to bump the seg size to 8K, if failure then
  you've got the PI nailed at fault.  If it checks out then you need to
  be more specific as to what the A400 status registers dump out with
  or what other symptoms you observe.
