From there I dialout to the world through a Ven-Tel 212 Plus -II modem Version 2.20............. Most of the time it works very well, but whenever I or anyone else attempt to download xmodemed files (or any error checking program) from ANY system the modem hangs up. The time varies from day-to-day, but it always seems to hang up It is a 1200 baud modem. One time I tried fooling it by logging in at 300 baud and trying the upload. It worked 1 time - then the machine got smart the next . My me and huing up again! I don't have the books on the modem, so I need to know how to re-program to This is very mdem's registers to disable the timeout.... Dores anyone have any knowledge of these machines?
