  We have four Microcom AX/96c modems that I've been asked to get working
for a long distance UUCP link.  Use of the Hayes command set of the
AX/96c would require minor modifications to the Hayes UUCP driver (for
the extended return codes sent by the AX/96c) and determination of The
Right switch and register settings.  Use of the native (SX) command set
would require a totally new UUCP driver as well as switch and register
settings.

  Has anyone else already used an AX/96c for a UUCP connection?  If so,
any help would of course be appreciated.  Thanks for your time!
