I have just installed version 17.64.11 of GNU EMACS.  I have never
used it before and have a question on the key redefinition.  It seems
to me, from the docs, that a "key" has to be a one or two key combination.
Most function keys on modern term's use longer sequences.  Is there
a way to get emacs to recognize these as "keys"?  Please mail any
