Message-ID: <980@rocky.STANFORD.EDU> Date: 21 Jan 88 23:52:41 GMT Organization: Stanford University Computer Science Department Lines: 14 Posting-Front-End: GNU Emacs 18.36.1 of Fri Feb 6 1987 on rocky (berkeley-unix) Asking for some other folks who have several VMS machines (some of which are of the same VMS version, some which aren't)... If one builds & dumps emacs on one machine, should one simply be able to FTP that to another machine (placing all of the elisp files, etc. into identically named directories)? These fellows have tried this w/o success. (I fear that VMS is a foreign language to me & I've no VMS machines available to play with anyway.) -Bil --
