Roberto Shironoshita <shirono@eniac.seas.upenn.edu> has improved on my
emacs suspend function. His version:

(defun suspend ()
  "Suspend emacs and alias emacs command to restart"
  (interactive)
  (suspend-emacs "alias emacs 'unalias emacs ; %emacs'"))

This does not require an exit function.
