Message-ID: <115@sloop.UUCP> Date: 7 Jan 88 21:02:54 GMT Organization: Mead Data Central, Where Yesterday is Tomorrow Lines: 23 Keywords: Unix Hello, Does anyone know of a good fault tolerant computer (preferebly running Unix) ?? What we need is a computer to be used for data collection that can absolutely NOT lose any data and can not go down (actually, being fault tolerant is not a necessity as long as it were extremely reliable). It must have optimized I/O capabilities, as it will be used to constantly monitor data lines, reading data as soon as it is detected without loss or delay. We also need software for the machine which handles a number of different protocols since the incoming data will be sent from various sources, each with their own way of sending it (i.e. 3270, 3780, X.25, TCP-IP, etc). I'd appreciate any suggestions !! Please reply via E-mail. Thanx. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Christy Dey ..!cbosgd!wright!owlmnt!sloop!christy Mead Data Central ..!ucbvax!wright!owlmnt!sloop!christy * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
