We are running IBM PCs/ATs on a "thin net" with 3COM cards to connect to our VAX... all works fine. In the last couple days however, as a result of hardware additions to a couple of our ATs, to change the configuration of the 3COM cards and DECnet DOS. We would like to configure the 3COM card to use a different interrupt request (default is 3 and we want to change it) and this is supported by the 3COM card. However, I can find no where in the doc for decnet dos if it is possible to tell decnet dos to use a different vector (tho' we don't need it, it might be nice to be able to specify the DMA channel as well). Has anyone else ever run into this? Is there a solution or does decnet dos blindly assume that the network card is set to the default configuration? Thanx for any suggestions...
