If there is such a product please let me know. I a currently using the IBM TCP/IP for the PC to TELNET, FTP, etc to from other TCP/IP machines on our network. The IBM software includes an IP gateway between Token Ring, IBM PC Network (new cards) and ethernet. The IBM software is part of Program Number 5798-FAL. It has a fair number of TCP/IP based programs which I will not detail here. The TELNET emulates an h19u ascii terminal or uses tn3270 if talking to a VM host. TFTP and FTP are available, though there is no server mode for FTP. There are also several commands to deal with mail from the PC that I have not played with, but they seem based on the Rand Mail Handler as far as the user interface is concerned and use SMTP to POP server. Though I haven't tried it you could probably also gateway with a Proteon p4200 with both 4Mbs token ring and ethernet. I belive FTP has suport for TCP/IP on the token ring, though I am uncertain what they recomend at the gateway between token ring and ethernet. Hope this helps some, Greg German (german@uxc.CSO.UIUC.EDU) (217-333-8293) US Mail: Univ of Illinois, CSO, 1304 W Springfield Ave, Urbana, IL 61801 Office: 181 Digital Computer Lab.
