More info about PC/NFS: It requires the Microsoft C compiler.  It doesn't
support Berkeley trailer packet formats.  The TCP provided is linked into
the application itself, rather than being a part of the TSR that provides
the IP and UDP.  I believe that this only allows one program on a machine
to use the TCP (but I couldn't find any comments in the manual - Geoff?).
