There is an 11% "productivity gain" at IBM-Santa Teresa described in

 	T.C. Jones, Programming Productivity, McGraw-Hill,
	New York, 1986,

that is attributed to the provision of private offices for software
personnel.


Another study, this one at TRW, similarly reports an 8% gain:

	Improving Productivity", Computer, Vol. 17, No. 6,
	June 1984, pp.30-44.
