Message-ID: <694@astroatc.UUCP> Date: 7 Jan 88 17:12:43 GMT Organization: Astronautics Technology Cntr, Madison, WI Lines: 34 I know I don't have many hours logged in on Aegis Animator, yet and would eventually be able to solve these questions myself, but I would appreciate any help in the following areas. I'm working on an animation of a flying spaceship I designed with sculpt-3d. I took pictures of the ship at various angles and want to pull them into animate. I've learned enough so that I can load in a background with the same palette as my pictures, and can pull the individual pictures in and move them, etc. Now, My spaceship picture is a square that gets moved around, including background colors. Is there anyway to have animate not move the background with the picture, like a brush in dpaint? This way I could have the ship land on a building... How can I get the ship to move, and then say a lazer beam to fire from the ship at the same time? The tweens seem only capable of doing one movement at a time. What does one use masks for? They are only one color, as far as I can tell and seem to be related with what I want to do in my first question. Lastly, does anyone have any hints or tips on using the storyboard for editing? Can you use it to edit out tweens from a sequence within one frame of the storyboard? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanx in advance. --j -- jon wesener ... {seismo | harvard | ihnp4} ! {uwvax | cs.wisc.edu} ! astroatc!jojo "I may not be smart, but I can lift heavy things"
