As compared to running UNIX off of floppies, it's HEAVEN. Let's compare Pineapples with Pineapples, here, eh? There are some specific design implication in UNIX that make it run slower on the same hardware than the AmigaOS will run. Thing such as it's file based message passing. These are the same things that make it work well with memory protection; messages are passed by copying, not by reference. That copy just takes additional time, that's all. > Michael J.
