According to the manuals which I own DOS 3.3 will only use the first Control D
in a line.  This was considered a bug and "corrected" in Prodos.  Has anyone
tried exceeding MAXFILES and then using the Control D?  When running a Basic
Program this results in the Control D being ignored.  It might be worth a
try.
