The VT52 apparantly uses binary codes to drive the screen while VT100 uses ASCII codes. I do not have more details. The only apple program that I know of that does VT100 emulation is Sorterm //, by Softronics. This program is fairly expensive ($150 +/- a bit) and requires an attachment from softronics to operate.
