Close, it's an MX-80. Your friends biggest problem is that is a parallel printer (later Epson models which have a serial option ). Unless someones retrofit the MX-80 with a serial to parallel converter, the best move is to buy a parallel card. Some really cheap ones are available (but may not work with the Print Shop or other graphics programs). For only a little more, there are widely used (and supported by most software) cards such as the Grappler+ and the Print-It!
