If you're using ProDOS 8 you pretty much have to do a COPY followed by a
DELETE unless you want to do low level directory access to adjust the pointers
and so forth.  From ProDOS 16 you can simply RENAME the file using the
CHANGE_PATH MLI call.  ECP16 and APW and ORCA all support this operation as a
simple RENAME command.
