My 7300 has just developed a continuous, high-pitched squeal.  It is
definitely mechanical, but I can't tell if it the disk or the fans.
The 7300 is about 2 years old, the disk (NEC 61010, 40M) about 4 months
old.  It works fine. I hate opening it up, but it looks like I will
have to (or buy ear-plugs) -- the sound is really irritating.  Anyone
experience a similar problem? Any advice?

P.S. Is Amperfax out of business?  Their phone is disconnected.  Is there
any similar place that knows about and supports the 7300? Also,
anyone know where one could buy a cheap 1M/40M 7300 without software for
backup/spare parts?
