After awhile, my keyboard died and I replaced it with a keytronics which had the keys in the right place... Now the problem: I just purchased an ALR 386/220 which has the new style "enhanced" keyboard with the caps lock key where control should be. I can almost deal with the esc key being a the top by the function keys but I cant deal with ctrl being next to the space bar. Makes using Emacs a royal pain. Now the question: DEFKEY (from 1983) won't work on this new machine (or any AT) I have been told. Is there a similar key redefintion program that will work on 286/386 class machines? Or can anyone suggest a replacement keyboard which has the keys in the right place? Can I use a 5150 (I think??) keyboard from a standard PC on this machine? I know that you can't on the original Compaq Deskpro... Help!!!! I can't type on this thing!!! Matt Singer
