Basically, since the Fujitsu is not truly compatible and will not run most IBM software, I was thinking I could take a shell of an XT (a motherboard with memory, a floppy and power supply, and an RS232 card for interface) and have it serve as a slave for the Fujitsu to run software. I am open to suggestions. I do not really want to spend a lot of money or buy a lot of additional hardware. The Fujitsu does have an RS232 port. I already have MSC 4.0 to work with as far as writing any drivers I might need. This is not my PC. It belongs to a professor of mine who was foolish enough to buy this white elephant a few years ago and now wants to stick with it. I realize it may be quite an undertaking, but he is not in any big hurry. Tom ...ihnp4!occrsh!tas
