Summary: How big of a problem is this?

All this talk about frying your monitor. Just exactly how long does it take
to burn an image into your monitor? I've looked in my manual and it doesn't
say anything about how long or even warn you about it. Is the time different
for different monitors and color or no-color? Thanks.
