As far as I have seen, this is the nature of the DMP printer.  There is
little you can do about it.
 
My personal preference is the STAR line of printers - they work really
well, are inexpensive, available through several dealers which advertise
in THE RAINBOW, offer impressive features, and have the company stand
in back of them.
