This is no longer there on the Mac Plus, Mac SE, Mac II, and all Apple machines that use the new circular 8-pin connector (I believe these are called 'sub-min 8' connectors, or some such). However, these new connectors do indeed have power supplied on them; +12V is on pin 1 (which is the pin on the lower left of the circle when looking at it face on).
