Since more and more things will be coming out for the Mac II, this seems to be a good time to ask this question: How successfully can programs that operate in full color/sound kit'n' caboodle on the Mac II be made Plus/512 compatible? Will there have to be separate II and Plus versions for this reason? Also, how much memory would the color/sound resources occupy in such a program? Would you save significant space by deleting resources that your Plus can't use, like CDEV (I think) and the ones for color? Could you do this at all? -- [Does a program check for machine type before ever calling those resources, so you could nix them, or does it find out that there's no color etc. BY ATTEMPTING to call the resource?] >Anyone know when Beyond Dark Castle will be out, and if it will run on a >Mac2? Haven't got it myself, but MacConnection's (1-800-MAC-LISA) ad in the most recent MacWorld has it listed for $27, and they aren't in the habit of marketing vaporware. (No connection to the Connection, blah blah blah, just a satisfied customer. :-) James arpa: syap@tut.cc.rochester.edu uucp: rochester!ur-tut!syap ==========================================================================
