Message-ID: <810@ur-tut.UUCP> Date: 13 Jan 88 07:04:17 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Gadgetland USA Lines: 24 Keywords: Mac Plus serial port 8-pin connectors cables ** The 8-pin serial ports and associated hardware on the MacPlus are cute, ** compact, and all that, but where in blazes do you buy such connectors? __________________________________________________________________________ Even Radio Shanty carries DB-9s and DB-25s, hoods, etc. You can pick up any (shudder) PC mag and find dozens of A/B serial selector switches for DB-25s, but I have yet to see such a thing for 8-pin. They SHOULD be less elaborate, since you don't have to switch 25 positions!! I ask because [1] I have 3 peripherals to connect to my modem and printer ports, SIGH, and [2] I would love to build my own cables rather than pay $20+ for (say) a female DB-9, a male 8-pin and 6 inches of wire - the so-called Mac Plus adaptor... __________________________________________________________________________ ** Any advice on how to get pinouts for the round serial connectors, and ** the actual hardware, is greatly appreciated in advance.
