I understand that the exact same device as the Imagewriter II can be bought for around $250, though I have yet to find it. MACazine (which I got at MacWorld) reviewed a printer by Seikosha (the makers of Seiko watches) which has about the same capabilities as the Imagewriter II (and looks like one from a software standpoint). Its maximum graphics resolution is 160 x 144 dots per inch. Two potential problems cited were: inability to go beyond 8X9 inches in text/graphics on a single page; slowness (15 cps for NLQ vs. 45 cps for an IW II, 75 cps in draft). Does anyone have experience with this printer? Is it worthwhile? Though it lists at $300, the review article claims street price is only about $200 plus the $9 required for an Imagewriter I cable...
