Apple will soon offer through dealers a repair kit that costs about $90 retail, $12 wholesale, but involves swapping in a new logic board to hold a different fan. The kit contains a new, quieter muffin fan that makes less noise and eliminates screen jitter. Maybe you can talk your dealer into installing it for free (no labor). Also from PLATO notes: Apple is rumored to be poised to release an SE with a 40Mb internal drive. It will supposedly be announced at MacExpo or soon thereafter. Don
