I have an INIT that not only changes your system beep but also changes
the startup screen, and the startup sound by selecting randomly from a
set of sound and startup screen files. It is called (obviously)
RANDOMIZER. If anyone is interested I can post a copy to comp.binaries.mac.

BTW, there is another INIT that changes the shutdown sounds in the
same way.
