Please don't mail them to me. Chuq, why are you doing this? You know that what you propose is a blatant violation of the rules (such as they are). The only reason I can see for you suggesting that people post their votes instead of mailing them is to piss people off. Pretty childish by my book. OK folks, if Chuq is going to play head games with the rest of the net, I guess somebody has to actually do something useful. Since (I think) I'm the one who stirred up this latest round of "let's split comp.sys.mac", I guess I should collect the votes. The vote on the table is "should we create comp.sys.mac.programmer". Mail your yes or no vote to me. I'll give it until feb 4th (2 weeks from today) then I'll post a summary of the results. You can followup to this if you have something useful to add to the discussion, but not if you simply want to record you vote. Note that I've directed followups to "nowhere". The sole purpose of this is to prevent people from posting a vote as a followup to this without thinking. If you really do want to followup to this, simply edit the "Newsgroups:" line to get rid of the "nowhere" and replace it with "news.groups". -- Roy Smith, {allegra,cmcl2,philabs}!phri!roy System Administrator, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016
