I've heard bits about several games on the net recently, notably FirePower, Garrison, Gauntlet, and Arkanoids, though a few others have been mentioned as well. Before I rush out and plunk down my money, I'd like to know a few important things: Does the game work? I've heard that FirePower GURUs a lot, but is it worth it? Does it require specific configuration? I have an extra 2Meg hitched up- will the game still work? Must I reboot my machine to play the game, and does it do nasty things in memory - eg, will my VD0: survive if I play the game for a while? And of course, is the game decent? How long does it take to beat the game and lose interest? Marble Madness lasted about a week and a half to win, and it's been sitting in the drawer ever since. Other remarks, recommendations for other games, etc. are of course welcome. I'd prefer that replies came by mail - eighty articles or so a day is a pretty hefty load. Thanks in advance, Jason may@husc7.harvard.edu
